Art + Science Salon prides itself on its intense and rigorous education program. Over the past twenty years, it has developed one of the most revered apprenticeship programs in the hair industry, thereby creating opportunities for all of its stylists and colorists all over the world. In recent years, Art + Science stylists have been sent to Fashion Week in New York as well as studied in Santa Barbara, CA, Paris, France and Barcelona Spain. Paul Wilson
Paul moved to Chicago in 1997, specifically to join Art + Science Salon. He soon became partners with co-founders, David Raccuglia and Laurence Hegarty, and over the years has helped the salon expand into both Lincoln Park and Wicker Park. Paul currently is the Co-Owner of Art + Science and leads the creative direction of the salon as well as mentoring the staff and working behind the chair. In addition, he guides the creative vision and direction of American Crew as their International Artistic Director for American Crew, the leading salon brand created for men.
Whether in an intimate classroom or a larger setting, such as on stage, Paul’s natural energy and passion for the hair care business engages audiences. He has an enlightened sense of art and design, allowing him to eloquently inspire through each and every haircut he executes. Paul continues to uphold the tradition of exceptional American Crew imagery by creating and styling the hair on virtually every Crew photo shoot as well as crafting the artistic core of Art + Science Salon.
