Alper's True Value Hardware in Port Washington, NY is an old fashioned hardware and paint store with modern product selection and ways to shop. Established in 1911, Alper's is two stores in one. On the corner of Main St. and Irma Ave - aka Alper's Corner - is the main hardware store where you will find our hardware, barbecue, lawn & garden, electrical, tools, Carhartt, plumbing, housewares departments. Next door at 6 Irma Avenue is our Benjamin Moore Signature Paint Store. There you will find a spacious decision making area to make all of your color selections, a full line of Benjamin Moore paint. In both buildings you will find unmatched customer service that treats everyone like a long time customer. If you are more of an online shopper, we have e-commerce available for True Value, Benjamin Moore and Big Green Egg. Alper's is also the proud host of Karmacue, an annual cook-off and street fair that raises money The Community Chest of Port Washington.
